Aurioch was in a hurry. He had spent more time catching up with his mother than he really should have, and now he was quickly running out of time. Word quickly circulated that the Canidal representative had arrived, and the treaty signing would take place soon. He HAD to be there when it happened. Aurioch closed his journal and put it back in his pack. As he was trying to decide whether or not to get some more sleep, he looked towards the eastern sky and saw that dawn wasnft too far off, and decided to stay up. He ate a quick breakfast of bread and cheese, then broke camp, saddled his horse, and headed back to the trail leading to his home village of Velos. He hadnft been back home in twelve years and was eager to see everyone.
